Hi, I'm
Yong Pratt
You learned to doubt yourself.
I believe you can learn something different.
For more than 25 years, I’ve watched women discover that what they thought was “just who I am” was actually something they had learned.:
Your body has been speaking to you all along. Most of us were simply never taught how to understand its language.
Maybe you learned to stay quiet, second-guess yourself, keep the peace, or become who others need you to be. After years of repetition, those patterns can feel like personality.
Those patterns are simply clues, not personality traits.
Your body has been keeping track of what helped you belong, stay safe, and meet the expectations around you. My work helps you recognize and understand that language so that you can tell the difference between an old learned response and what is true for you now.
Each time you trust what you notice, say what you mean, or make a choice that feels like your own, you change more than one moment.
You honor the people who came before you and made your choices possible. You also show the people who follow you that they do not have to disappear inside other people’s expectations.
A different way of living can begin with you.
For 17 years, I poured my heart into running a performing arts school, helping thousands of students discover they were capable of more than they believed. Looking back, I realize I wasn’t simply teaching dance. I was witnessing what happens when knowledge becomes lived experience, when confidence is built through practice, and when people begin trusting themselves one small step at a time.
When I closed that chapter and stepped into a new season of business, I found myself searching for the same certainty I had spent years helping others discover. The work I had loved was behind me, and I believed dance belonged there too. As much as I missed it, I convinced myself that chapter of my life had ended.
By 2020, I felt untethered. I questioned nearly every decision and searched for answers in books, courses, certifications, and every place I believed clarity might be found. Then, through a series of unexpected and beautifully timed events, Human Design found me.
Human Design wasn't the destination. It was the doorway that led me back to my own body.
For the first time, I had a framework that helped me make sense of experiences I’d carried for years. Every layer offered another piece of the puzzle, and with each certification I hoped I was getting closer to the certainty I had been searching for.
Yet something still wasn’t clicking.
Even as I immersed myself in learning, dance kept quietly calling me back. I ignored it for years because returning felt like moving backward. Instead, the turning point came when I finally listened to the invitation I had been resisting.
I returned to dance.
I don’t believe you need to become someone new. I believe you’ve spent years learning patterns that no longer serve you. xo, Yong
Dance became the place where everything I had been learning finally came together. As I moved, the ideas I’d been studying became lived experience, and I began recognizing a deeper wisdom that had always been present beneath the noise of doubt and overthinking.
The dancer, movement scientist, and intuitive within me were never separate parts of who I was. They had simply been waiting to be brought back together.
The more I listened, the more I realized my body had been guiding me long before I ever had words for what I was experiencing. It had always been communicating with me. I simply hadn’t known how to understand its language.
That realization changed the way I live, the way I share, and the way I guide every woman who chooses to work with me today.
If there’s one thing I hope you take away from my story, it’s this:
I don’t believe you need to become someone new. I believe you’ve spent years learning patterns that no longer serve you.
Together, we’ll learn to recognize them, understand what they’re trying to protect, and practice choosing something different.
